“The meaning of life is simply being alive.”
If you need a few good reasons to enjoy some coffee on the regular, let us give you reasons! First of all Coffea the coffee tree, is an evergreen, a small tree or a shrub, that grows in the tropical climate region. The coffee beans are actually not beans, they are the pits removed from the coffee cherries. These “pits” are loaded in potent compounds such as chlorogenic acid and polyphenols, which have antioxidant properties that help prevent cell damage. Here are 4 good reasons to drink up! 1. Live Longer and have a healthier heart! A review of more than 200 studies found that people who drink three to four cups of coffee per day have a lower risk of death and heart disease compared to those who drink none. 2. Protect Your Liver! Chlorogenic acid increases anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory activity. Possibly increasing glutathione, your master antioxidant. In multiple studies (26,206 participants total), people who drank an average of at least 2 cups of coffee per day had lower ALT levels than those who did not. 3. Protect Your Brain! Alpha-synuclein, a protein which has has a been implicated in the destruction of dopamine producing neurons, has been shown to be subdued by Chlorogenic acid because it prevented the toxic effects of the protein. 4. It may help prevent cancer! In coffee are compounds called diterpenes. Two of those diterpenes are Kahweol and Cafesol. In studies there has been shown to be a an inverse relationship between certain cancers, such as colorectal and liver cancer, and the consumption of coffee. Kahweol and Cafesol have been identified as reducing the carcogenicity in these studies. You are all set, go have a cup of joe, java, an espresso, a latte, an americano or however you’d prefer it. Just get some!

Food today is missing a lot of the essential nutrients in the amount that we need. Whole foods that are organic and “clean” are key to maintaining health. However, with depleted soils it’s hard to maintain the vitamin and minerals we need daily. It’s one piece of the puzzle behind having a nation that is over fed and malnourished. It’s for that reason that we recommend supplementation after testing to learn which micronutrients a person is lacking. My current morning stack is Berberine, Policosanol and Vitamin D. I find this helps me maintain stable blood sugar and healthy VLDL while maintaining a pretty on the go pace that I’m currently in. Have you had your micronutrients rested recently?

Want to put some life back in your body? Want to increase your energy? Want to lower inflammation? Want to turn your brain back on? You may be looking for NAD+ IV Therapy. NAD+ IV Therapy is one of the most powerful vitamin therapies currently available. It is all-natural, holistic, and has shown outstanding results. IV NAD+ therapy may be the light at the end of the tunnel for many people suffering from addiction, age-related diseases, and chronic fatigue. What is it? NAD, short for nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, is a coenzyme found in every cell within the body and is involved in many processes. Its main purpose is to fuel metabolic reactions, and your cells must have it in order to make energy! NAD slows the aging process, improves mental clarity, restores neurologic function, and improves the body’s overall health. Why do I need more? The levels of NAD that naturally occur in the body decline with age. NAD IV treatments supplement this gradual decline and deliver this powerful coenzyme directly into your bloodstream, making it available to your cells for immediate use. NAD IV treatments can improve a wide variety of symptoms that are associated with aging. To learn more and see if this therapy is right for you, contact Peak Vitality @720-504-8007. Chronic health conditions are on a meteoric climb and the typical medical approach fails to produce long term solutions. Part of the issue is the focus, which tends to be on a singular path trying to identify one issue. With chronic diseases such as autoimmunity and neuro-degeneration there are almost always several contributing factors. Therefore a successful approach needs to be looking at the entire picture of an individuals health history, overall health status, behaviors and activity. From there treatment should be addressing all aspects of health along with education in a program that is flexible enough to adapt to the individual stages of healing. “Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence.“ This is the opening line to one of my favorite poems titled Desiderata. This particular line always encourages me to maintain my meditation and mindfulness practices. There is an amazing amount of refuge and strength found by reflecting inwards, pulling the weeds out of your mental field and discovering tranquility within. By working towards this you always have place you can turn to find peace and calm when you need it. Follow @pkvitality for healthy living tips & daily motivation.

What is your success formula? The tried and true method seems to be the same regardless if it’s a health goal, elevating a relationship to another level or growing your business. The key steps are; Setting a goal, Make necessary preparations, Take more action than you expected too, Measure your outcomes, then take more action. For a “Life Success Formula” I would add a few caveats. The first is “be present and remain mindful of the living moment”. By being mindful we can enjoy the process and learn from each step. It’s like the old saying, Life is a journey, not a destination. The second would be “Remain vigilant when it comes to self care.” Poor diet and too many sleepless nights will undermine your health, and therefore undermine goals. So get out there, set some goals, crush them, take care of yourself and enjoy the process. Follow @pkvitality for healthy living tips & daily motivation.
