A week on the Annapurna Circuit. Day Seven was by far the most challenging day of trekking. We departed the Tilicho Lake Base Camp five in the morning just as the sun was starting to rise. The climb up to the world's highest lake was daunting. The Himalayas seemed to get taller the more we climbed and the lake farther away. After three hours of climbing we reached the shores of the sacred lake. Our time at the top was short because the air was thin and we still had a two hour decent to the camp and a further three hours to our night camp.
