Adventures 🌊🦈🐠🍻 . . Well, this was a first! Swipe ⬅️ to see the warning sign for “swimming at your own risk”. And then swipe again for the most fabulous Food Gram of local steamed clams and local haddock fish & chips😋 . We loved spending some time in Wellfleet while on the Cape. The drive as you get closer to the beach is lined with so many cute vacation and private beach cottages overlooking the Atlantic. They’re not only known for their fabulous Cahoon beach with dunes (I’d never seen sand dunes that steep before) but also the very popular Beachcomber restaurant. It has great views while you’re enjoying your clams, fish& chips and of course their great selection of local beers. “With an outdoor bar overlooking the Atlantic and an indoor bar in the heart of a former U.S. Lifesaving Station, it does not get any more authentic than the Wellfleet Beachcomber. They also have a great kids’ menu with burgers, grilled cheese, fish & chips and more. It’s “Cape Cod’s only oceanfront restaurant and club.” So, even though there are several restaurants, and other businesses on the water (either Nantucket Sound, or Cape Cod Bay), the Beachcomber remains as truly the only oceanfront (Atlantic side) restaurant on Cape Cod. Put the Beachcomber on your list of places to visit when on Cape Cod…… you won’t be disappointed!” . No matter where you’re staying on the Cape, this is worth the drive for a wonderful lunch with a view. I recommend you go early as their parking fills up fast with locals parking for a day of beach fun and great food. Parking is $20 but is applied as a credit towards your food purchases. Next time we go, we will plan to arrive around 10, spend some time down at the beach and then walk up for lunch. You can easily spend a nice “beach day” there👌🏻🐠🌊
