Starting the new year off right with one of the best animal sightings. New years day gave way to a beautiful snowy day, which made for a great day for a trek into the woods. After coming out into a clearing, a momma Caribou and her calf came into view and we stopped to watch them scuff through the deep snow to graze underneath. They didn't mind us at a distance and continued eating, slowly making their way down the hill and out of sight. . . . #caribou #wildlife #wildlifeencounters #wildlife_seekers #wildlifephotography #nature #naturephotography #nature_lovers #landscape #landscapephotography #snow #winter #winterscene #newfoundlandandlabrador #newfoundlandwildlife #explorenl #explorenature #canadianwildlife #canada #explorecanada #ungulate #wilderness
